
Govt hikes import duty on white peas
Jan 04,2020Government has imposed 50 per cent import duty on white peas. A white pea which is called as ‘Batana’ in Hindi is substitute for gram, gram dal. It has become dearer for the common man after the hike of import duty, said, Pratap Motwani, Secretary of The Wholesale Grain and Seeds Merchants Association, Nagpur.
